Malala Yousafzai is a Nobel Laureate.  She is internationally known for human rights advocacy and courage, especially for the education of girls when they were banned from attending school.  Malala made headlines when she was shot by the Taliban in 2012 at the age of 15 while traveling home from school on the bus with her friends in Pakistan.  She continues to campaign for the rights of every child to go to school.   Her advocacy has grown into a worldwide movement.
